It's a tuesday afternoon, muggy & thick & I sit at this desk watching old Merrie Melodies toons. I watch Bugs & Elmer Fudd & Daffy & Yosemite Sam locked in eternal battle for supercilious supremacy over their once-great kingdom of slowly-rotting slipping celluloid.
My god, the adventure, the wit, the narrow escapes & make-do philosophy, the utter cool of that carrot-munching prankster....
Bugs is still a rabbit for our age.
