which incredibly random songs jump out & get stuck in yr skull. The kind of song that you wouldn't ever give a moments thought to in the City.... But when driving across deep desert, maybe somewhere in shit-fuck Nevada, Nebraska or West Texas.... Driving in the dark with just the dashlights, your coffee & your cigarette... & nothing but country radio to get you thru.... This is the kind of song that might just make you tap the steering wheel...
So here I am with a Dixie Chicks song, stuck tight... & I guess I own it now.
I scoped this song out after hearing about all the drama amongst country music fans losing their feeble minds over the fact that the lead singer, Natalie Maines said that she was ashamed of the fact that George Bush Jr was from Texas...
The song Not Ready To Make Nice is a message to all their fans that were shocked at the nerve, the verve, the actuality of a country star disagreeing with the direction this big beautiful crazy nation is taking....
Basically, a great big Screw You...
