It's been a bright week dazzled in rain...

Lots of chop-chop, cook-cook at Lovely Hula Hands, working as prep-bitch. Im having a hard time writing this even, cause I'm sans fingertip (courtesy of a mean-ass mandolin) but thats fine-fine, so much better than being broke or broken. I was beginning to hate this town, the grey cold sad hipness of it, but time smoothes the edges of transition & I'm learning again, how to live here.

But anyway, Radar magazine is currently putting together an article about my temporary tribe's experiences in the wake of Katrina. Being interviewed about all of this was a strange experience, especially the probing questions about particular household issues & politics. As the journalist went along interviewing us one by one, from state to state, he gathered more insider info & by the time he got to me, I kept being startled by his knowledge of specifics, forgetting, from moment to moment that he had already talked to nearly everyone else. Still it should be interesting when the next issue comes out. I'm curious to see just exactly what a jack-ass I sound like in black in white. The exciting part is that this glossy little mag is apparently reuniting the seven of us in Los Angeles for a photo shoot. Bring on the hair gel, kitten & the boozing I'm sure is bound to occur. I look foward to whooping it up with my cyclone compatriots. I really really do.
